Photograph retoucher based in Scotland
These days, most of our photos are on our computers or hard drives. In the ‘old days’, we used to get photos printed and over time, these prints can fade or discolour. Bringing a special memory or photo of a loved one back ‘to life’ has brought the warmest of reactions I have felt in my time in photography.
If you have an image that means a lot to you, but it has seen ‘better days’, please get in touch through the Contact Form (found in the three bar menu top right of this page) or by email on colin@hyslopphotography.com.

The above image (on the left) had been in a frame, but had faded over the years in the sun. I balanced the light and contrast on the faded section, took the photo into black and white and then recoloured it in Photoshop.

The above two photographs were reworks of two small photographs taken in the 1930s. Considering the time that they were taken, they were very good quality, but no more than 100mm in height. I photographed the two images, coloured them in Photoshop and then printed them out at A4 size. The owner of the photos was delighted with the end results.
